Our Close Protection programme begins with a structured pre-course self-study phase, designed to build a solid foundation before formal training begins. This is followed by the 18-day, fully residential SIA course, and continues with an extensive post-training phase—bringing the total learning time to 344 hours.
The residential phase is delivered across our dedicated training facility and an exclusive country manor hotel near the City of Bath, providing a realistic and professional training environment.
While the course fully meets the minimum contact hours required for the SIA Level 3 qualification, it goes significantly further. Candidates complete pre-course learning beforehand and continue their development through additional self-study and face-to-face instruction beyond the SIA’s guided learning hours.
Our Executive Protection Continuing Professional Development (EP-CPD) programmes are supported by a structured assessment and quality assurance framework designed to maintain professional standards and real-world relevance. Learners complete assessments that test practical understanding, critical thinking, and the application of protective security principles. All assessments are subject to Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) to ensure consistency, fairness, and alignment with course objectives. In addition, selected programmes undergo External Quality Assurance (EQA) by independent professionals, providing an additional layer of oversight and credibility. This process ensures that our training maintains high standards and delivers meaningful professional development for security and close protection practitioners.
To be eligible for our courses, you must pass our vetting process, which includes an interview via Zoom/Teams and then complete the required self-study subjects before attending the SIA Level 3 Close Protection Course.
Prior self-study is required to provide you with a foundational knowledge of close protection, ensuring a higher standard for individuals entering the industry. Other prerequisites will be an English test and a health assessment.
Total cost including accommodation, all course material and insurance £4000
