Our Close Protection course starts with a pre-course self-study phase, followed by the 18-day SIA course (fully residential).
The 18-day SIA course is delivered between our dedicated training facility and an exclusive country manor hotel near the City of Bath.
In addition to meeting the minimum contact hours required to achieve the SIA Level 3 qualification, the course includes pre-learning and is followed by further self-study and face-to-face instruction in addition to the SIA’s guided learning hours.
The complete course consists of "Regulated and Non-Regulated" training qualifications (See qualifications page), a minimum of 344 hours.
Additional Training Subjects - Continued Professional Development (EP-CPD)
EP-CPD Assessment, Internal and External Quality Assurance
Our Executive Protection Continuing Professional Development (EP-CPD) programmes are supported by a structured assessment and quality assurance framework designed to maintain professional standards and real-world relevance. Learners complete assessments that test practical understanding, critical thinking, and the application of protective security principles. All assessments are subject to Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) to ensure consistency, fairness, and alignment with course objectives. In addition, selected programmes undergo External Quality Assurance (EQA) by independent professionals, providing an additional layer of oversight and credibility. This process ensures that our training maintains high standards and delivers meaningful professional development for security and close protection practitioners.
